Helen May Peavey-Bonner
September 7, 1932 – August 9, 2022
Helen May Peavey-Bonner, 89, of Veneta Oregon, passed away August 9, 2022, at her home in Veneta. Helen was born in Nestor, Calif., the fourth of five children, to Hollis and Pansy Peavey. She was a native of San Diego, Calif for 59 years. She was a wife, mother, and all-around home-maker and loved to play progressive rummy. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family and with all her heart.
Helen attended Emory Elementary, Southwest Jr. High, and graduated from the first class to attend the new Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach in 1952. After graduating, she married Robert W. Bonner, of San Ysidro, Calif on September 14, 1952. Helen and Bob built and made their home at 1611 19th Street in Nestor and lived there for 39 years. She had 3 children. In 1991 they retired and moved to Eugene, Oregon.
Helen is survived by her sister, Evelyn Sage, son Robert Bonner, daughters Linda Ross and Cindy Barrows, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service and internment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego on Wednesday, September 7th at 1:00pm
