Helen Stella Breslau's Obituary
Helen Stella Breslau passed away on December 12, 2021. Helen was the daughter of Walter
and Janet Kubisiak and was born on September 27, 1929. She attended St. Joseph High
School in Chicago Ill. After high school Helen worked at some of the best restaurants and
hotels in the downtown Chicago area. Helen also spent over 15 years working for National
Video Corporation in their payroll department.
Helen was married to the love of her life Edward Breslau at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on
October 16, 1948.They were blissfully married for 64 years. They had two children Barbara
married to (Suhail) and Bruce married to (Julie) as well as two grandchildren Brent, Blake his
wife Kelsey and a great grandson Brady.
In 1973 Helen relocated to San Diego California to enjoy the abundant opportunities that
existed. Upon arriving in San Diego she began to create a loving and caring home for her
family.
Helen enjoyed extensive travel with her husband Edward, family and friends. Helen was known
in the San Diego Polish community and was very proud of her Polish heritage. Helen served
several years an officer of the North County Polish American Club and helped support The
House of Poland in Balboa Park.
Helen was always known for her hospitality and love of the Catholic Church. Helen dearly loved
her family and enjoyed cooking and gardening and just spending time outdoors. Her family,
grandchildren, great grandchild and friends meant everything to her.
Helen is survived by her two children, grandchildren and great grandchild
The rosary is scheduled at 6:00 P.M.on Thursday January 6th at the Salli Lynn Chapel 4300
Imperial Avenue., San Diego Ca. 92113. Services will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic
Church on Friday January 7th at 10:00 A.M. the funeral services will also be live streamed on
the Parishes website. Entombment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park at 2:30 P.M. In
lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Heart Association.
