Denise (Duffy) Savage
I've been having a hard time losing my long time such a happy friend, truly a great, close friend as Helen (MOM) to me sigh. It's so hard to believe she's gone. We had soooo many great laughs working in H/D together…she'd have only a banana daily for lunch and she'd say to me: New York, you should just bring an banana to lunch and we can eat them together…I know she was kidding, but from that very next day, Helen and I would sit in the outdoors near the café. on benches …eating our 'bananas' while I'd be saying "hey mom, look those crazy people are eating FOOD, SANDWICHES, CHIPS but she'd say over and over: New York, this is very good for you to eat and it gives us more talk time without waiting for the other one to swallow"!!! I'd laugh and say "ooooo now I see why" (NOT ha ha). She truly was one of my fav friends I've made in San Diego…I have a lot of friends but there are those very special ones that you become such a part of their life and love everything about them and that's my so long, so fun to be with …jez since Solar Turbines opened the "NEW" facility in K/M…I'd guess that was about 1976. She worked up front for Gary Keller (any solar women reading this, and was around then, you'd remember Gary Keller (The Solar Cowboy). Helen laughed so easy… how could anyone NOT want to be in her company! That is a BEAUTIFUL PIC you sent on front of memorial card!! Love the hairstyle…she really was a beautiful woman, inside and out and I'll always miss her, even tho, I'll always pretend she's still around sigh…. Love you Helen (MOM) Duffy oops New York!! oh here comes the tears again…sigh
