I came to know Helen about six years ago.  First, I met her in an exercise class on Friday mornings at the Benjamin branch library.  A few weeks later, I met her again at the Mystery Lovers book club at the same library on Thursday afternoons.  Then, shortly thereafter, I began attending the 50+ Club at St. Therese Catholic Church and, sure enough, the third Wednesday of each month, there was Helen.  She was a very sweet lady, a very proper lady, a very intelligent lady and, just like me, enjoyed the “gift of gab”.  I soon found out that a former co-worker whose family was originally from the Mid-East and Helen’s family were well acquainted.  Helen stayed independent for a very long time, but always had loving children available on short notice.  I loved her style and attitude and will miss her sweet soul but take comfort in knowing that we’ll meet again some day.    Bonnie Hugyez
