I met Mrs. Salamy when I was at Foster Elementary School. Going through school with her children. Mrs. Salamy was a very special lady who was caring, kind & had lots of love in her heart for all people young & old. Loved seeing her around the community keeping herself busy and active at Palisades Presbyterian Church.
I will miss you dearly but won’t forget you either because I go by your house everyday.

I came to know Helen about six years ago. First, I met her in an exercise class on Friday mornings at the Benjamin branch library. A few weeks later, I met her again at the Mystery Lovers book club at the same library on Thursday afternoons. Then, shortly thereafter, I began attending the 50+ Club at St. Therese Catholic Church and, sure enough, the third Wednesday of each month, there was Helen. She was a very sweet lady, a very proper lady, a very intelligent lady and, just like me, enjoyed the “gift of gab”. I soon found out that a former co-worker whose family was originally from the Mid-East and Helen’s family were well acquainted. Helen stayed independent for a very long time, but always had loving children available on short notice. I loved her style and attitude and will miss her sweet soul but take comfort in knowing that we’ll meet again some day. Bonnie Hugyez
I have so many fond memories of Aunt Helen. She would always call me on my birthday because that was the year she was married to Uncle Edward. So she always knew how old I was. Aunt Helen, Edward and Philip lived with us in Brooklyn for a few years. Those years were memorable. When they moved to 79th street we would spend almost every Sunday afternoon with them,. Fun times!
Helen always knew what was going on...she had all the news of the relatives. It was always fun visiting Edward, Helen and all the family in San Diego. It was like a second home. She will be missed but not forgotten

There are too many good memories to list. From her laugh to her food. A just all around nice human being that made this world a better place to be in. I will miss her dearly and take solace in the fact that she is with Sido Edward. Love, Eric
