Huilan Gao's Obituary
Huilan "Grace" Gao was born July 17th, 1963 in Beijing, China to Gao Hanchen and Zhang Guiying. She was the youngest of three children, with an older brother and sister.
Huilan met the love of her life, Li Pinggang "Philip", in her early grade school years. They married on Thanksgiving - November 26th, 1987. Not long after, they had a son, Li Yichao "Josh".
Huilan was a life-long student, scholar, and contributor to the biomedical scientific community. She had numerous publications in highly reputable journals and is credited with several foundational patents for novel classes of therapeutics.
Huilan will be most remembered for her loving smile, her always cheerful energy, and her unshakable faith. She was a faithful servant of God and loved her church community.
Huilan leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 34 years Philip, her beloved mother Zhang Guiying, her elder siblings Gao Desheng and Gao Shuming, her son Josh, her daughter-in-law Sanja, and her granddaughter Aviara.
