Irene was not only my favorite cousin but my sister in Christ. Although we lived FAR apart she was just a phone call away. We didn't share experiences about our daily lives but we did share our faith with one another. Her faith and love for the Lord is what I'll remember about Irene and possibly her fast driving ;-) The last time I spoke with her (3 weeks before she passed) she said she was at peace knowing her children and grandchildren are saved. She ended the conversation telling me about her youngest grandchild who gets on his knees, folds his hands and prays. She was so pleased. Now she is in heaven in the presence of God. I miss her dearly but I know she is in a better place <3
