Isabella D. Williams' Obituary
Isabella “Bell” Williams was the only child born to John Deal and Maria Scott. Her humble beginning started in the small town of Bunkie, LA. She received formal education in the Bunkie School System. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.In December, 1949, Bell married Sword Williams and to this union three daughters were born. The family moved to San Diego, CA in 1957 to embark upon a better life.Bell was employed as a housekeeper and worked for her beloved Dr. James Vernetti of Coronado for over fifty years. She also worked for In Home Support Services as a homemaker for over twenty-five years.Shortly after moving to San Diego, Bell united with Greater Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where she served and worshipped until the early 1980’s. She moved her membership to Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church to work and serve under the leadership of Rev. I. J. Bradford after he was appointed to serve as Pastor of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Bell loved her church and served faithfully until her health begin to fail. She wore many hats serving as Youth Director, Pastor’s Aide President, Usher Board and the Women’s Mission. Working with the youth was her joy and her calling.Bell was a sincere servant and caretaker to all. Her home was always open to anyone that was in need. She would never turn anyone away, if there was a need she would be there to provide it along with love and encouragement.She leaves to cherish her memory, her girls, Delores “Lo” Johnson, Cornelia “Neetie” Williams and Annie Sweatt (Willie), Grandchildren, Rodney Johnson (Taneisha), Frank Johnson, Dorian Sweatt (Naomi), Mariah Borgna and Corwin Harris, Great Grandchildren, Shalecia Johnson, Isabella Johnson, Frank Johnson, Jr., Evalino Borgna, Chanelle Borgna, Brittnee Juarez, William Sweatt and Zoey Sweatt. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sons, daughters and friends that she took under wings while on this journey. Special angels, Rev. W.T. Jones and Betty Jones.Proceeded in death by her husband, Sword Williams, mother, Maria Scott, father, John Deal and great grandson Rodney Johnson Jr.
