Ivalou "Ivy" Neumann's Obituary
Ivalou "Ivy" Neumann (nee Manning), born September 4, 1930, entered her eternal rest on January 9, 2026, after a long and fulfilling life. Preceded in death by her husband, Jan Neumann, her parents Le Roy Manning and Lewella Manning (Collett), her sister Flora Turner and brothers Stewart, Paul and Le Roy Manning/, she is survived by her sons Rian W Jones (Nancy Houston) and Randy W. Jones (Lisa), her grandchildren Christina Jones Corrias (Enrico), Nicholas R. Jones (Stephanie), Sam Jones and Delaney Jones, and 2 great grandchildren, with another on the way. She worked in the banking industry for most of her work life, beginning her career as a teller for Central Federal Savings and Loan in San Diego and continued working as an assistant branch manager and then a branch manager for Central Savings and Washington Mutual. She retired in 1990 to care for her own mother who she took into her home until her death in 1996. An active and faithful member of the Churchof Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various lay callings throughout her life, rendering service freely and exhibiting unconditional love for everyone. As a young woman she was a runway model, beauty queen and stewardess for American Airlines. She was an expert seamstress having learned to sew at the feet of her own mother. She was an avid quilter and was a long-time member of the Golden Thimbles quilting club. Although she has left us physically, her light continues to shine because of her good works. Families are forever.
