James Jones' Obituary
James Jones Jr. was born on March 10th, 1948, in Chetopa, Kansas. Born to Father James Jones Sr. and Mother Hollis Juliann Simms, Survive Siblings Forestine Taylor, Lennie Jones, Sarah Redmond and Harold Caldwell. Deceased siblings Geraldine Whitmire and Norma Jean Meredith. Graduated from Chetopa High School and Enlisted in the United States Army in 1969.
In 1971 James Moved to San Diego where he met his wife Bonita, Married 44 years and had 3 children Marcia Brown, Tiffany Reynolds and James Anthony Jones. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.
He truly enjoyed life spending time with family and friends. He loved entertaining, and performing karaoke, singing and dancing where he earned his nickname the ( Mojo Man). He also loved cooking and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and all of his grandchildren.
On June 4th, 2021, God called James Jones Jr. home. He leaves his legacy and loving memories behind to his Wife Bonita and children Marcia (Husband Nolan) Tiffany (Husband Steve) and Anthony(
Wife Mayra). Grandchildren Kendra, Kevin, David, Dorion, Oliver and Jayden. Great Grandchildren Deven, Jeremiah, Jace, Kamrynn and
Braylen. Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
James was often described as a humble, gentle spirit, his personality and good sense of humor was enjoyed by all, he was the life of the party. He was a giving person who would give you the shirt of his back. He truly was one of a kind and he will be missed.
