Janet Dorothy Geno's Obituary
Janet Dorothy Geno, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother passed away while surrounded by her loving family on October 16, 2013; one day before her 60th wedding anniversary. She was 79 years old.Janet was born December 29, 1933 in Cornish, New Hampshire, the fourth child of Dorothy and Arnold Tancreti of Windsor, Vermont. She married Albert William Geno, on October 17, 1953 in Randolf, Vermont and the moved with their young family to Chula Vista, California in September 1956. She graduated from San Diego State University in 1972 and worked in special education at Greg Rodgers Elementary School until her retirement in 1996. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Albert and her children Anne Larkin, Chris and Mike Geno, and Jenne Carson, nine grandchildren: Stephanie, Christine, Vanessa, Rylee, Bethany, Anthony, Taylor, Timothy, and Rebecca, and nine great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Griffin, Ryan, Stefan, Isaac, Ryder, Anthony, Aleksis, and Mia.She also leaves two sisters: Anita Adams of Montpelier, Vermont and Emilie Grenier, Disreali, Quebec, Canada and many dear family and friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Ramon and Victor Tancreti and sister, Thelma Banker.She was a faithful parishioner of St. Pius X Church for 53 years and religion was a large part of her life.She loved teddy bears, walking on the beach, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren, but especially her husband, Al. Janet was an inspirational woman who touched everyone, not always through words, but by the amazing examples she set.
