Janet L. Glenn's Obituary
Janet Lee Glenn was born in San Bernardino, CA on April 24, 1955 to proud parents Arlee & Elmertha Jones. She was the sixth out of seven kids; Harold, LaVoyne, Arlene, Richard, Curtis, & Freddie. In the summer of 1966 Janet moved to San Diego, CA. She went to school at Chollas Elementary, Gompers High School, and Crawford High School. Janet met Charles Gregory Glenn in 1969 at Gompers High School. They wed on November 20, 1971 and were happily married for 45 years. Janet and Charles had three sons; Charles Jr., Kase, and Michael. Janet loved her six grandchildren Marquis, Lanai, Mike Jr., Izaiah, Lamont, and Mahal dearly. She was their biggest fan, cheerleader, and supporter. Janet gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She loved God and loved studying His Word. She was called into the ministry as a Missionary in which she served 40 years. She earned her BA degree in Theology. She was the founder of King of Kings Temple Church of God and Christ along with her husband Pastor Dr. Charles Glenn. Janet had a passion to lead Sunday School. She developed unbreakable bonds and encouraged the youth to have a personal relationship with the Lord. Janet is preceded in death by her Father Arlee, sister LaVoyne, and brothers Richard and Freddie. Janet is survived by her husband Pastor Dr. Charles Glenn; sons Charles Jr., Kase, and, Michael (Maricar); grandchildren Marquis, Lanai, Mike Jr., Izaiah, Lamont, and Mahal; Mother Elmertha; sister Arlene (Joseph Garner); brothers Harold and Curtis; sister in law Ivy Jones (Richard). Janet will be loved and always remembered by many for her genuine love, kindness, and compassion that she gave all her heart into. She was definitely an angel and a woman of God, not just by word, but most importantly, by example. Her LIFE’s work will live in our hearts always.
