Janice Simpson Blair's Obituary
Janice Simpson Blair was born on April 23, 1943, to Bennie and Radie Simpson in Wharton, Texas.
She received her high school diploma with honors at Wharton High School after which she attended Bay Ridge Christian College where she achieved her Bachelor's degree.
Janice moved to San Diego, CA early in her life where she met Nathaniel Blair, a member of the United States Army, and eventually the love of her life. Shortly after meeting Nathaniel, she married him. Together they had 11 children. "This is not the Brady Bunch, this is the Blair Bunch." A blended family that also includes the foster care of over 30 children. Being a mother was always her most prized accomplishment in life.
Janice accepted God into her life at 13 years old. It would lead her into a life of pastorialship and evangelism from this point on. She served alongside Nathaniel Blair as a Youth Pastor at 47th Street Church of God until the family moved to Tulsa, OK. While living in Tulsa, Janice was able to attend Oral Roberts University earning her Doctorate in Theological Studies. She was able to open a church alongside her Husband Nathaniel shortly after while in Tulsa.
Recently in her later years, Janice was able to write a book titled "The Mentality of a Millionaire." An accomplishment she wore proudly as she was able to have the book
published on Amazon. In 2007, Janice began to attend Love of God International to serve under Bishop Reyes. After the going home of Bishop Reyes in 2008, Janice began to Pastor
Love of God International in San Diego, CA until she was called home.
On September 18th, 2023, Janice went on to her home in glory. She is preceded by her husband of 48 years, Nathaniel Blair and daughter Regina, her brother Willie Simpson, and sisters Cleo C. and Bennie Mae Albritton. She leaves behind the memories of her life with her sisters Blanche Allen, Janet Edwards, and Odessa Daniels, her five sons, Andre, Leslie, Michael, Jonathan, and David; and five daughters, Sharon, Rita, Natasha, Natalie, and Patricia, 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, countless extended family, special friends and many, many more lives she touched throughout her life's journey.
We write "Farewell love. We promise to continue to serve faithfully just as you taught us all."
