Jay Morris Sperry's Obituary
Jay Morris Sperry was born on July 8th 1930 in Mona Utah. He was the 4th of 5 children born to Eva Lorene and Asa Hugh Sperry. He joined the Navy at the age of 17. While in the Navy, he came home on leave to visit his sister and met his future wife, Phyllis Oldham. Jay enjoyed a successful 21 year career in the Navy. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. After retiring from the Navy he got a job at Sears in the receiving department. He retired from Sears after 18 years to help with his wife Phyllis whose health had worsened with cancer. Jay enjoyed fishing in San Diego Bay, Dove and Quail hunting in Arizona, spending time with family and watching baseball.Jay is survived by his 2 children Mark (Lori), David, 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
