Adame, JC Hernandez's Obituary
The Celebration of Life for JC Adame
JC HERNANDEZ ADAME, affectionately known as, “Babe”, “J,” “Dad,” “Brother,” “Uncle,” and “Grandpa,” was born on May 24, 1966, in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, to parents Mary Lou Hernandez Adame and Gilbert Adame. He is the youngest of five children, and when he was just a boy, his parents passed away, and he was cared for by his eldest sibling, Vivian.
He grew up alongside his siblings and extended family in Central and Southern California. He married at nineteen and had two children, Michael and Michelle. He remained married but separated for almost twenty-five years, having another child, Isabelle Adame. He married again, and shortly after became widowed. Time passed, and he then married his long time friend of over twenty years, Margaret.
His family and friends meant everything to him. He was an exceptional man. Everyone knew him, or knew of him, and always spoke well of him.
He loved his family and friends unconditionally. He strived to do the right thing, and helped others in need whenever possible. He was a, “Jack of All Trades,” and always had a solution for your troubles. He was happiest when spending time with his loved ones, building, or adventuring.
He encouraged everyone to be their best selves, and to, “always treat people with respect, whether they were the CEO of a company or the Janitor.” He was funny, kind, brave, persevering, dignified, humble, strong, smart, gentle, inquisitive, creative, and undeniably One of a Kind.
JC held several specialty skill sets as well, and various positions throughout his working career. At 8 years old, he started working with the mail carrier, delivering mail to each door. He then went on to work in the local grocery store deli, bringing home fresh meats and sandwiches for his family. His first passion, though, has always been cars. He drove huge 18-wheelers, was the owner of several motorcycles, and lived on a yacht. He also worked as a business manager, journeyman pipefitter, knew how to operate heavy machinery, and welded.
In his home life, he enjoyed cooking classic family dishes, endless barbecues, late nights in the swimming pool, and jumping over bonfire pits. He never liked soy sauce or white rice, and there always had to be pineapple, cloves, and cherries on our holiday ham.
JC entered into eternal rest on August 12, 2024 in the afternoon, at his decades long place of work, NASSCO General Dynamics.
He is survived by his siblings, Vivian Camberos and Daniel Adame; his wife, Margaret Adame; his six children, Michael, Michelle, Isabelle, Mikey, Joey, and Rose; his grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Nico, Aiden, Dylan Rose, Mila, Madison, James, and Ellisyn.
JC will be deeply missed by numerous nephews, nieces, extended relatives, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He remains forever in our hearts, safe and sound.
