Jean Louise Eis' Obituary
Jean Louise Eis, a native San Diegan, passed away April 5, 2017 at the age of 80. Jean spent her entire life in the County of San Diego., growing up in the beach communities of Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach. A graduate of La Jolla High School, she excelled in athletics, and particular bowling, for which she participated in many leagues and tournaments over the years. As a Mom to her 3 children, she was the consummate “team Mom” and scorekeeper. She was very involved in Little League, Bobby Sox and Pop Warner, in strong support of her children’s activities.In love, 3rd time was the charm for Jean, when a chance meeting in a grocery store where her long lost friend of many years worked. They had initially met in the 50s, when Jean was a newlywed and Martin was a butcher in the local grocery. He helped her with cooking tips, and they became friends. Newly reacquainted and both now single, they married and began a fantastic life together.Jean enjoyed a successful career in banking. She enjoyed traveling, cruising and stargazing with Martin, her children and grandchildren.Jean leaves her loving husband Martin, son David, daughter LaDonna and grandchildren Nicholas and Ashley, her brothers Tom and Theodore and sister Teresa. She is preceded in death by her parents Lester Tenney and Lucille Morse, brother Richard and her son Matthew.Private services were held April 11th at Greenwood Memorial Park and is peacefully at rest overlooking her eldest son.The family suggests donations to Alzheimer’s San Diego or a charity of your choice.
