Jesus I Mendez, 70, of San Diego passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2024 with his wife and grandson by his side.
Jesus was born Nov. 3, 1954 in Mexico, DF to Roberto and Lidia Mendez…He graduated from San Diego High School. He married his wife Patricia July 9, 1977. His passions were working on his home and putting puzzles together for his kids and grandchildren. Jesus loved cooking for the family. He loved sharing his recipes with everyone. He enjoyed making everyone happy.
Jesus was employed at NASSCO SHIPYARD for 45 years. He retired 3 years ago on Nov. 3, 2021.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents and 3 of his brothers and many more loved ones.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of 47 years and his sons Jaime and his wife Christine, son Gabriel Mendez and wife Lauricia, daughter Elizabeth Watts and her husband Ian. Grandchildren Jaime Jr, Nicholas, Isabella, Yazmine, Nichelle, Giovanni, Elijah, Harlie, Luke, Aliethia and Gabriel Jr. Brother Juan and his family and many other family members.
