Jimmie Carolyn Propsner's Obituary
Jimmie Carolyn Propsner, 58, of Chula Vista, passed away on April 16th, surrounded by her friends and family.
Carolyn, born on Jan. 24, 1963 to John and Ruby Birchum in San Pedro, Ca, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Carolyn went on to graduate from Hilltop High School in 1981. After graduating from high school, Carolyn went on to work as a clerk at the SERVMART at NAS North Island until 1990 when she left to start a career in the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
Carolyn fell in love with her job where she worked for many years at the George Bailey Detention Facility. There she enjoyed working with the hundreds of employees that worked there over the years.
Carolyn was known to collect anything Lucy and Lighthouses. She also, enjoyed and loved spending time with her cousins and looked forward to their company every year.
In 1989, she met Larry and the two were inseparable from that point on. Carolyn and Larry were married one month shy of 30 years. and had two children, Jon and Adam. Being a mother was her greatest joy and she was always proud of her sons.
Carolyn was a fiercely dedicated mom to her children. Family came first and was above all else her priority and it was a value she instilled in her sons. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. Carolyn was predeceased by her father and mother. She will join them in heaven.
Carolyn was devoted, loving, brave, strong and faithful!
Services will be held on May 7th.
