JoAnn Darnell's Obituary
JoAnn Darnell was born on March 14, 1934 in Tulsa Oklahoma, to Myrtle M. Cummings and Walter Coble Cummings. When JoAnn was eight years old, she and her mother moved from Tulsa, OK to Chula Vista, California where she attended Rice Elementary School, Chula Vista Jr High School, and Chula Vista High School. When he retired, they bought a motorhome and traveled extensively.
They were very active in their church, with Wylie often leading Bible studies.

JoAnn peacefully went home to be with Jesus on January 21, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.
JoAnn is survived by her 3 children, Terri Erpelding, Wylie Darnell Jr, Bryan Darnell, and three grandchildren, Jennifer Willis, Emily Gilbert and Tara Hernandez. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
