Joanne Young's Obituary
Joanne Marguerite Young born on June 1, 1928, in Clark County, Springfield Ohio, to parents Ralph Chatman Boster and Dorothy Marguerite Maine Boster, entered peacefully into eternal rest on July 14, 2022, in San Diego, California. A resident of San Diego for over 80 years, Joanne was a respected and loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend. Joanne was a professional singer in her younger life. Joanne was also an avid dancer, and one of her many loves and joys was getting dressed up and going out dancing. She danced most all styles but especially loved ballroom. She loved her family, travel, exercising and eating well. Joanne in her later years loved doing volunteer work, such as ushering at events at the Old Globe Theatre, and volunteer work at the public library in her neighborhood. Joanne raised a family of three boys; Kevin Laughead, Kirk Laughead and Korey Laughead. She also had a special love and bond for her two granddaughters Kelly and Jennifer, and her three Great-grandchildren Mila, Aria and Zion. Joanne was a loving, caring, humble woman who was adored by all that knew her. She will forever be missed yet never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
