John Robert ReynoldsApril 1,1926 – January 6, 2019Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Parents John and Lizzie Reynolds. John was born in Cerro Gordo, Hardin County Tennessee and moved to San Diego, CA. in January 1944. He married Rosa E. Reynolds on July 30, 1949 with 64 years of marriage and raised their children: Patricia A. Marino and John W. Daly. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of seventeen, January 13, 1944 and traveled to many countries while serving during World War II as an Electrician’s Mate Second Class. He was honorably discharged from the Navy and went into the Army Reserves and held the rank of Sergeant First Class during the Korean War. John retired from General Dynamics in 1988 after serving 26 years as an Aircraft Assembler. He earned his degree in Business Accounting and Administered a Residential Board & Care business with his wife for many years. His talents were abundant and included Motion Picture Operator, Fishing, hunting and improvising better ways of doing daily things. He was a Life Member with Veterans Of Foreign Wars (Post 2082) with Lemon Grove, CA. He enjoyed watching TV, and coin collecting as a pass time. As a grandfather, John was cherished and loved by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He made his home a safe and loving place for them, leaving them with memories of the warm and caring person he was. Most of all, his arms were always open to give love and support for all of us.John is reunited with his wife Rosa, daughter Patricia, his parents, brother and sisters.We will all miss John and are grateful for the lessons he taught us. He went home to be with his Lord peacefully in his own home, surrounded by his loved ones.Blessed are those who have died in the Lord; let them rest from their labors for their good deeds go with them.Eternal rest grant unto John, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. May his soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace. Amen. God hath not promised We shall not know Toil and temptation, Trouble and woe. He hath not told us We shall not bear Many a burden, Many a care. But God hath promised Strength for the day, Rest for the weary, Light for the day, Grace for the trials, Help for you from above. Undying sympathy, Unfailing love.
