Jose C. Navarrete's Obituary
Jose C. Navarrete & his twin sister Cristina were born on April 19th 1931 in Tijuana, Mexico to Guillermo & Aurelia Navarrete. Jose was a boxing champion in Baja California, Mexico. He trained at the boxing club where his father was a trainer. Jose was the first president & founder of the “Fraternidad Deportiva de Tijuana” (Sports clubs for athletes). He was an operating engineer for more than 4 decades. He moved to Buena Park, CA. where he lived with his former spouse. His first marriage produced three sons. In the late 70’s he met his second wife Lupe Navarrete which he later married in 1986. Together they had 2 sons & 2 daughters. In his spare time Jose enjoyed going to church, playing cards, cycling, baseball & spending time with his family. He was a huge sports fan & was in a senior softball league. Jose was a beloved husband, father & grandfather. He is survived by his wife Lupe of 31 years and His children Karina, Viviana, Jose & Jorge. Jose passed away in his home in San Diego on May 19th, 2018.
