Josefina Mora's Obituary
On October 30, 2019, Josefina Mora, loving wife of 68 years to Jose Oscar Mora, and mother of 8 children, passed away at the age of 87.Born in Michoacán, Mexico on March 17, 1932 to Jose and Socorro Zendejas, Josefina was the second born of 11 children. Being one of the eldest, she was always looking after her younger siblings, molding her into the wonderful mother she became. Josefina married the love of her life on February 1, 1951. All who knew Josefina knew how much she loved to sing and how beautiful her voice was. At every family event, Josefina would sing to her favorite songs if not a microphone, then loudly enough for her entire family to hear and enjoy as they would surround her and admire her voice. She was a very loving woman who always brought life into a room with her illuminating smile. Josefina was known for her kind heart, meaningful conversation and how she loved to dance. She always left a lasting impression on all who met her.Josefina was preceded in death by her father, Jose, her mother, Socorro, and her son, Joe Mora. She is survived by her husband, Jose Oscar Mora, and 7 of her 8 children, Nena Escovar, Lupe Mora, Oscar Mora, David Mora, Rosa Torres, Javier Mora, and Irma B. Rodriguez. Josefina also had 35 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Greenwood Mortuary, followed by the burial on Saturday, November 23 at 10 a.m.
