Joseph Lynn Bourgeois' Obituary
Joseph Lynn Bourgeois, known by his loved ones as Joe, passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born on October 31, 1950, in Fort Benning, GA, and most recently resided in San Diego, CA.
Joe was the beloved husband of Paula Bourgeois for 50+ years. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Joe was the proud father of two daughters, Desiree Kane and Monique Bourgeois Arias. He was also a cherished granddaddy to Ryan Kane, Patrick Kane, Grace Arias, and Robert (RJ) Arias.
Professionally, Joe served as the Head of Security at Rohr (aka Goodrich), a role in which he excelled and made significant contributions. However, his proudest accomplishments were not solely confined to his career. Joe found immense joy in marrying Paula, witnessing the birth of his children, seeing his wife and daughters graduate from college, walking his daughters down the aisle, and conquering the breathtaking Half Dome during his hiking adventures.
Joe will be remembered for his sense of humor, strength, and caring nature. He had a protective and fierce loyalty towards his loved ones, always willing to go above and beyond to support and uplift them.
In honor of Joe's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society for esophageal cancer research. Joe's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
