Joseph Patrick Marroquin's Obituary
Our sweet Joseph Patrick, affectionately known to all as “Joey,” surprised us all with his early but blessed birth (just in time for the New Year!) on 12/27/2013. Throughout his short but amazing life, he defied odds and expectations that any one tried to set for him. He fought conditions that limited him with an amazing inner strength and contagious joy that inspired all of us and people who met him. Joey was never defined by his medical issues. He instead made his mark by creating smiles, laughter and often music with some gravity defying dance moves wherever he went (thanks to his cirque de soleil level of flexibility)!! His sweet, snuggly heart that exuded love and peace to all fortunate to hold him, touched so many hearts. Joey’s love of music and Christmas lights was well known. Even his doctors knew his favorite Pandora stations and gave his mom suggestions to change things up in the hospital during long admissions. He treasured outdoor walks with the breeze on his face, hearing the birds outside, listening to the music at church and an eclectic mix at home, and being silly with his big sister, Grace. We will always treasure Joey as an angel God shared for us for almost 4 beautiful years. His sweet smile and presence of peaceful joy will forever be in our minds and in our hearts.
