Memories of Mrs. Schell, When I was child she would take us my Mom, Dennis, Mike and I to the beach, either Mission (waves) or Mission Bay (no waves) during the summer for the day while our Dads were busy at work; on some Sunday afternoons when the weather was good both our families would drive to Presidio Park and we kids would run up and down the moguls in the lawn as we got exhausted and our parents would just laugh because we were going to be tired out that evening. On alternate Saturday evenings was 'Cards Night' either at the Schell?s or at my parents? house, soda and chips, fun and games, movies, it was relaxing, Mrs. Schell was an excellent hostess; as a child I remember would ride my bicycle up and down those hills to get to the Schell?s for the day of fun and games with either Dennis and/or Mike. Mrs. Schell was always pleasant and when necessary firm with me. She was a great cook, yumm yumm. As a child, I told my Mom I thought Mrs. Schell looked like the first lady Jackie Kennedy. Mrs. Schell was volunteer at Grossmont Hospital. Mrs. Schell has always had that unique smile. Together the Schell?s and my family shared plenty of great times together with other friends and family that this space does not allow.
