Juanita Patricia Marshall was the third child born to Abbott J. and Hattie Grace Thomas Marshall on March 17, 1921 in Independence, MO.Juanita was also known as Pat to many who knew her. Pat attended Young School in Independence, graduating in 1939. She attended Second Baptist Church on Farmers Street in Independence where she fondly remembers being baptized in the river.She loved cooking for family and friends, working in her yard and delighted her children with stories of Independence and Seminole County, OK. She also shared what good times she had down on 24th & Vine in Kansas City.In 1945, Pat followed her older brother to California and got a job in Los Angeles. She met Robert Clemons while riding the Santa Fe train between Los Angeles and San Diego. The attraction was immediate, and they remained together for 37 years.They were the proud parents of 3 children; Sharon, Marva and Bobby.On Saturday, April 14, 2018, Juanita Patricia Clemons was called to rest, with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband and son.She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sharon A. Williams and Marva McBride (Frank), four grandchildren; Robyn, Anisha, Leon, Kellie, and two great-grandsons, Amir and Miles. She will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
