Judith Kay Amato, age 83, of Atlantic City,NJ, Jackson Heights, NY, Fort Lauderdale, FLA and San Diego, CA passed away on July 22, 2023 peacefully in her home and surrounded by her loved ones after a brief battle with cancer.
Judy, known lovingly as mom, Judy, Jude, and Jujube, was born on September 11th, 1939 to Ruth and Walter Stein in Atlantic City, NJ. Judy was known for being a great educator, friend, and listener. She was an expert knitter, jazz music lover, committed library patron and volunteer, Diet Coke and butterscotch enthusiast, and avid Mets fan. She had an unmatched wit, infectious smile and loving demeanor and she lived life on her own terms.
Judy dedicated her life to being a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to all. She could move to any city in the world and become instantly beloved by her entire neighborhood.
Judy is survived by her sons John and Chris and her daughter Lisa.
