Kalliope Xykis' Obituary
Kalliope Xykis was born July 28th, 1930 in Lidoriki Greece to Efthimios and Kostadina Margellos. She was the youngest of eight children. There she met her husband of 62 years Vassilis, and three years later had her first born child, Spyro Xykis. She later gave birth to her second son Yianis Xykis, who unfortunately only lived eight days.Kalliope and her family emigrated to the United States in July 1967, where she lived until her passing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and loyal friend to many, many people in her lifetime.After a lengthy illness with dementia, Kalliope passed peacefully at home on December 11th, 2018. She is survived by her husband Vassilis (Bill), Son Spyro, grandchildren Vassilis, Alexander and Kallie along with several nieces and nephews.She loved everyone equally and was always available to comfort them all. Her loving memory will be cherished forever. We love you, wife, mom, Yiayia, thea, Kalliope.
