Katherine Clanton's Obituary
Katherine (Langston) Clanton, age 86 of San Diego, left this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was born on March 25, 1935 in Bentonville, Arkansas to James Robert and Emma Belle (Ennes) Langston. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Otis Ervin Clanton, her parents and her three sisters, Christine Juanita Cooper of Lowell, Arkansas, Emma Jean Conrad of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Allene Kinder of Sparks, Nevada. She was a member of the Seminole Drive Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Velinda Peterson (Richard) of Louisville, Kentucky, her sons, Ronald Clanton (Tracy) of Raleigh, North Carolina and Jerry Clanton (Tammy) of Santee, California. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Rachel Cooney (Paul), Marissa Blount (Joe), Dana Castro (Ryan), David Clanton (Melissa), Ashley Clanton, Carl Peterson (Amber), Aaron Clanton, Janelle Clanton, and Jared Clanton and six great-grandchildren, Timothy Blount, Sarah Blount, Brannen Cooney, Chase Castro, Aisling Cooney and Addison Castro.
Kathy was retired from J.C. Penney. She loved to travel and anything to do with Padre baseball.
Memorial service will be on May 1, 2021 at 11:00 at Seminole Drive Church of Christ, 4790 Seminole Drive, in San Diego.
