Keith A. Cheney's Obituary
Keith Aaron Cheney was born in San Diego, California on December 3, 1923 and passed away on October 18, 2020 in Aviston, Illinois. He had been visiting his daughter, Carolyn, and son-in-law, Edward. He became ill and was not able to return to his beloved home and friends in Poway, CA. He was a wonderful man and was loved by all his family and friends. Keith was in the Army Air Corps, loved to play golf, sang in the RB Chorale for over 40 years, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Keith’s wife, Frances Henrietta Rogers Cheney, preceded him in death and passed away January of 2005. He is survived by his four children: Carolyn Cheney Brothers, sp Edward; Janice Cheney Jakeman, sp Ken; Norman Keith Cheney, sp Julie Rheinhart Cheney; and Daniel Aaron Cheney; eight grandchildren: Melanie Wernle, sp Mark; Natalie Pozdol-Arshinkoff, sp Nick; Angela Pozdol-Jacobs, sp Ben; Matthew Arnold, sp Shannon Mayfield Arnold; Melissa Calton, Janette Toribio, and Julie Heaton; eleven great-grandchildren: Breann, Lauren, and Paige Wernle; Abraham and Emmett Jacobs; Catherine and Grace Arnold; Justin, Janessa, Jaren and Jaclyn Calton; Mary, Hanna, Peter, and Alice Toribio; and Charles Heaton.
