Lance Vernon Yarborough's Obituary
Lance Vernon Yarborough was born on December 28, 1964 to Louis and Harriet I. Yarborough at Mountainside Hospital in Essex County. The family lived in a beautiful home in Caldwell, New Jersey throughout his childhood, where Lance attended and graduated from James Caldwell High School. Throughout his childhood his friends and family called him by his middle name, Vernon. He played football and was on the high school wrestling team. As a young adult, he then decided to branch out and move to California in pursuit of a new beginning and a career in technology. He has received several certifications from ITT Tech in the technology field, which landed him a lucrative career with Kaiser Hospital. After several years in California, he met and married his wife Rejina Jacqueline Freeman of San Diego, California. They decided to make their home with daughter Symonne Lidia Freeman in La Mesa, California. Lance loved to travel, hike and spoil his family; which he called his girls (Rejina, Symonne and their dog, Tasha). He recently travelled to Kona, Hawaii with his family, where they snorkeled, hiked, swam with turtles and ate Hawaiian cuisine. If you knew Lance, he was a fearless and curious man. He would always try something once, like hiking steep trails or climbing large rock structures that are designed for the more experienced enthusiast, this would at times lead to trivial scraps and wife needed TLC. He was a man of routine, every morning he would visit his local coffee house where he would stay for several hours to read the daily news and prepare for the day. All that knew him knew he would always keep himself physically and mentally in the know. He was up to speed with all the latest technology and loved politics. He loved life, loved deeply and would give his last to care for someone in need. His oldest brother (Lorry Thompson Yarborough), brother-n-law (Michael Freeman) and parents ( Louis and Harriet) predeceases Lance.Lance is survived by the people who loved and cherished his life, his wife, (Rejina Yarborough), daughter (Symonne Freeman), siblings (Lawrence Yarborough, Leonard Yarborough and his wife Cassandra, Gail Herron and her husband David, Denise Woods, Tasha Freeman, Gloria Gericke and her husband Arne and Glenda Yarborough).
