Laura Noelle Davis Mansfield's Obituary
Laura Noelle Davis Mansfield, born on September 30, 1975, in Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 2, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Laura Kathryn Loomis Davis Fayer and Richard H. Davis Jr.
Laura was a woman of resilience, compassion, and purpose. She attended Lehigh University, where she earned a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Journalism/Science Writing, was a member of the rugby team, and was a proud member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, Epsilon Lamda chapter. In high school, she was a lacrosse, field hockey, and basketball player. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to helping others, both professionally and personally.
Her career reflected her deep commitment to service and community. She worked with organizations including SAP America, KidsPeace, Nextel/Sprint, Wheels of Change, the Salvation Army Thrift Store, Live and Let Live Alano Club, La Jolla Recovery/Refresh Recovery, PATH, and the Salvation Army Corps. Laura was also a California substitute teacher and devoted significant time to supporting individuals at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.
Laura was a proud member of CCAPP (California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals) and served as a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician. Her work in recovery was not just a profession but a calling, rooted in her own powerful journey. From October 4, 2018, to March 2, 2026, Laura maintained her sobriety for an incredible 2,706 days—a testament to her strength, determination, and unwavering spirit.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she worshipped at Living Water Church of the Nazarene in San Diego. She also took pride in her accomplishments in martial arts, earning distinction as a White Sash and White Dragon practitioner.
Laura’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Joelle Kendra Chavez; her brother, Richard “Rick” Howard Davis III; her half-sisters, Kimberly, Megan, Faye, and Kellee Davis; her half-brother, William Davis, and husband Monte Edward Mansfield. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Laura’s life was one of perseverance, service, and love. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched, the hope she inspired, and the strength she shared so freely.
She will never be forgotten.
