Laura Marie Holden Johnson's Obituary
Laura Marie Holden Johnson passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the age of 33. She leaves behind her husband Christopher and two beautiful young children, Isabelle (age 4) and Connor (age 2).Laura was born and raised in Santee, the youngest of 3 children of Joe and Sue Holden. She attended Rio Seco Elementary and West Hills High School. Many happy childhood memories were shared with her family in the desert, off-roading with her “TDS Family”. She carried that passion into her adulthood, spending many hours in her Jeep.She married the love of her life, Christopher Johnson, in 2010. She earned her Nursing degree in 2011, and started raising a family shortly thereafter.Laura loved her children fiercely. She and Christopher, a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, moved to Austin, TX when his orders sent them there in 2013. They returned to San Diego in 2016.Laura’s father Joe, who was her best friend and greatest fan, died in 2011. She is survived by her close-knit family – her mother, Sue, brother Joseph, and sister Amanda, grandmother Carol, beloved nieces, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. The friends she left behind are too many to count.A memorial service will held on Sunday, November 19th, at 2 pm, at Greenwood Memorial Park (www.greenwoodmemorial.com)In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for her children.
