Lavinia C Reyes' Obituary
Lavinia C. Reyes, age 72, lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully March 19, 2022 in her home in San Diego, CA surrounded by her family.
Lavinia was born on June 19, 1949 in Manila, Philippines to Isagani Cruz and Nicasia Tangon. In 1968 she came to the U.S. and graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Peace high school. Following graduation she went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of San Diego in 1973. On July 19, 1975, she married her love Ramon.
She was a diehard Chargers and Padres fan, loved attending musicals and was an avid collector of handbags. She was a dedicated and loving friend, Navy spouse, mother, and grandmother. She was also a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner at St. Columba parish for over 40 years.
She is survived by her sons Rolan and Ronel (Jessica). She was also an extremely proud and loving Lola (grandmother) to Ronel’s children, Olivia and Robert. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ramon, adoptive and devoted mother Felicidad, and brother Neftali.
A viewing will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park Garden Chapel on Wednesday April 20 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be at St. Columba parish on April 22 at 10:00 a.m. followed by committal at Greenwood Memorial Park.
