Lawrence "Pat" Lange's Obituary
Lawrence Joseph Lange III, lovingly known by his nickname “Pat”, was born March 14, 1936, in Leavenworth, KS. He was the second child of Rose and Lawrence Joseph Lange Jr. He finished his education in Kansas prior to entering into the Unites States Navy on January 6,1955. Following his military service, Pat worked at the Balboa Naval Medical Center of San Diego and retired in 1992, after 35 years of civil service. He was an avid fisherman who loved to catch: blue-gill, catfish, and crappies from all the local lakes such as Otay, Henshaw, and Sutherland. Once Pat moved to Michigan in 1999, he took up the sport of deer hunting.Lawrence married Alice Bryant, and their union was blessed with a son Lawrence Joseph Lange IV, and two daughters Stephanie Young, and Brenda Walker. Lawrence later married Cheryl Letcher, and their union was blessed with a son Teryl Lange Sr., and two daughters Desna Hall and Patricia Bowden.Our beloved father was a hard-working, quick-witted, and charismatic person, who was loved by many. He had such a strong, determined spirit and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. To know Pat was to love him and you can never forget his infections laugh.His second wife, Cheryl Ann Lange, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Bernadine Lange, 6 children, 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
