Leonard Lynn Mason Jr. born on September 1, 1940, in Mississippi to parents Leonard Mason Sr. and Mattie Adams entered into eternal rest on July 23, 2022, in San Diego, California. A resident of San Diego for over 58 years. Leonard was a respected and loving Son, Brother, Uncle, father, Husband, grandfather, and friend. Leonard married his Sweetheart Takako over 51 years ago and together they raised a family with their Son Gale Mason. Leonard dedicated his early life to the United States Navy and spent 22 years serving this country. He took so much pride in being a retired veteran. He also had a special love and bond for his grandson Derrick Mason. Leonard was a loving, caring, humble man who was adored by all, he was so generous and always brought the family together with love. A couple of his hobbies included watching sports, he was a fan of the Detroit Lions. It is evident that he will forever be missed yet never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
