Leonila Moral Casanova Austero's Obituary
Nellie was born on September 28, 1936 in Manila, Philippines. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, class of 1954, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She married Ranulfo Madrilejos Austero in 1963, and soon after; moved to Long Beach, CA. Over the next couple of years, the couple welcomed 3 children into their home. Her children remember her as a kind, giving, and driven mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Nellie was accomplished and creative in many things, especially cooking. She was a generous and dedicated individual who loved her children. She was very passionate about helping people and ensuring they make the best choices in life. She did that for many when she worked at the MAAC Project. She became a member of the Abiding Place Church when she gave her life to The Lord.2 Corinthians 5:8 “Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with The Lord”Her love and memories will be cherished and missed by numerous families and friends.She is survived by; Children: MaryAnn Grace Austero of Guam, Debbie Casanova Austero of National City, and Ranulfo Madrilejos Austero, Jr. of Chula Vista Grandchildren: Valeri and Jesse Lujan of Guam, Kyle Austero Pablo of Guam, and Dylan and Marissa Pablo of Guam Great Grandchildren: Tinidy Marie Lujan, Emma Rae Lujan, Jesse Andrew Lujan, Jr., Rylin Joy Pablo, and lan Joseph Pablo Sisters: Florencio & Vigonia Regala, and Etilano & Resureccion Villaos Brothers: Desiderio & Milagros Casanova, and Virgilio & Teresita Casanova.
