Mullins, Letha L. (October 17, 1926 – July 10, 2018)Letha L. Mullins passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on July 10, 2018. Letha was born in Mississippi, on October 17, 1926. Following her marriage to Robert P. Mullins Jr. in January 1945, Letha moved to California where her husband, a Sailor, was stationed. After a brief stay in Bremerton, WA, her husband was then stationed in San Diego, where she lived for the next 63 years.During her life, Letha worked as a housewife raising her two sons, Robert and Paul. In the 1960s she began a career in the cosmetology industry, and retired, after more than 20 years, as Head Receptionist for the De Loux Schools of Cosmetology. Active in her Christian faith, Letha was a member of the East Clairemont So. Baptist Church for over 30 years where she was a friend to both fellow members and church leadership. As the wife of a Navy veteran, Letha was also active with her husband in several veteran’s organizations, mainly the local chapter of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.Following the death of her husband, Letha led a quiet life devoted to her church and to her family. She is survived by her two sons, three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. While we know she is with the Lord in Heaven, she will be missed by those who love her here on earth.A memorial service will be held in August at the East Clairemont Southern Baptist Church in San Diego.
