Leticia Torres' Obituary
Leticia Torres was born on October 28, 1958 in Tijuana, Mexico. She was the fourth of eight children born to Andres and Josefina Bernal. In 1980 Leticia moved to San Diego and worked as a Caregiver for the elderly. She was the perfect fit for this position — being a gentle, sweet, motherly type person. She was always a very giving person. Leticia was married to Ulises Torres and attended the parish at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in San Diego for over twenty years. She was so involved in serving others that she became a Eucharistic Minister.Leticia loved spending time with her children and family, baking in the kitchen, hanging out at the beach (especially boogie boarding), listening to music and dancing. Some of her favorite music was funk music (such as “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward) and Spanish ballads. She is survived by her husband, Ulises Torres; her children Mariela and Andres Torres; her parents Andres and Josefina Bernal; her siblings Maria, Tina, Hugo, Arturo, Jose, and Robert; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. This angelic wife, mother, daughter, and aunt who loved to sleep on the beach is now with the Lord. Leticia passed unexpectedly on November 28, 2015. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
