Linda Sue Wood, 79 of Poway, California, passed away on September 5, 2025. Linda was surrounded by family and loved ones. Born July, 11, 1946 in Denver, Colorado. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great
grandmother. She touched so many lives with her profound sense of humor, warmth, creativity and generosity. Linda was a very lovely person who connected with everyone in her own special way. Linda graduated high school in 1964. Linda went to vocational school and was hired by Pacific Bell shortly after. Linda retired with AT&T in 2005 with 36 years. She then met her soul mate and was married on July 8th 1967. They shared 49 years of joyful times. Linda and her husband Dennis were sealed for eternity in the Mormon Temple July 8, 2015. Linda enjoyed crafting, bingo, western movies, gambling and most of all her family. Linda is survived by her son Dennis Wood Jr, her daughter Tammy Wood-Curry and husband Jason Wood-Curry, her daughter Deanna Wood, daughter Karen Wastaferro and husband Rick Wastaferro, sister Barbara Stafford, granddaughter Ashley Cross, grandson Brody Blaisdell and wife Emerald Blaisdell, great grandson Booker Blaisdell and multiple brother and sister in-laws and nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her mother Agnes Freeman, father Charles Freeman, husband Dennis Wood, Brother Mickey Freeman, sister Margorie Freeman, grandson Jayden Curry and nephew Tim Rios.
