Lois Thomas White 's Obituary
Lois Thomas White, born November 2, 1936 in Florida to Mingo Thomas Sr. and Mamie Thomas was granted her angel wings on May 15th, 2020 in San Diego, California. A resident of San Diego for over 66 years, Lois was married to Jessie White who left this earth in 2006 and now they will be together in eternal life. Lois was a respected and loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked in the child development field for over 30+ years and had a passion for cooking along with attending church with Bishop Roy Dixon of Greater Woodlawn Park. Lois was also honored to have been able to share her final days with her great friends at Spring Valley Senior Living in San Diego. Lois White is survived by her children; Elbert Smith (Mary-Carr Smith) of Virginia , Austin White, Eddie White, Tina (Princess) White and Patrick White. Her siblings Loretha Sampson and Mingo Thomas Jr. of Florida. Her grandkids Marquita Thompson (John Thompson/Matthew Thompson) of California and Terrell Smith (Jennifer Smith/Hope Smith/Stella Smith) of Virginia and Yasmen Clay (JoJo and Josiah) of San Diego. Lois is also survived by several loving uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of close friends. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. “Momma White” will forever be missed and never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
In the near future, when it is appropriate and can be safely coordinated, we will be working on a Celebration of Life of Lois Thomas White.
