Lorene Rooks' Obituary
Lorene Rooks Spring Valley, California December 3, 1934 - October 14, 2023 Lorene is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Rooks and her great grandson, Brody McVey. She is survived by her children, Elaine McNeely, Sherry Marshall, Shelly Sagiao, and Kevin Rooks as well as her grandchildren, Todd McNeely, Dustin Harroun, Ashley Bences, Stephanie Ah Fook, Samantha McVey, Cassandra Rooks, and Hunter Rooks. She is also blessed with fifteen great grandchildren, a loving extended family, and many friends. Lorene was born in Drew County, Arkansas, but moved to California with her family when she was 14. She married Earl Rooks in 1952. She retired from LaMesa-Spring Valley School District in 1989. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, and dedicated great grandmother. She will be forever in our hearts.
