Lorraine C. Dennis' Obituary
Our mom Lorraine or as the Bingham clan called her by her nickname “Pinky” knew her life was about to change when her and her small family packed their meager belongings and headed for California. Growing up in the frigid mid-west, Mom was thrilled to have moved to Southern California where soon after arriving began attending Sweetwater High. It wasn’t too long after that she met and married our Dad Pete. Not long after a stint in the army our mom and dad were married. Their lives together brought about 2 children and days of camping and fishing on the Colorado River. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months as time passed by. While they were not able to maintain the marriage they remained the best of friends. Mom would eventually meet and marry Brady Dennis where their lives took on 35+ years. After Retirement they spent their days traveling by RV or truck and trailer seeing a great deal of the United States. Also during this time, Mom found great comfort in the services on Sunday at the Foothills Methodist Church. She would attend there most Sunday mornings. True to her friends and family she enjoyed gardening, races at Cajon Speedway and her kids. The most important to her was her home, family, friends and faith, which always came first. Now we never have to look very far for Mom as she is now our guardian angel. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Kaiser Hospice support team. Not only did they provide excellent care for Mom, they provided care for us as we travel our lives without her. We would also like to express gratitude for Loveright home health services. The caregivers were amazing in their care of Mom. They were beside her at every turn and were like family to us in the end.A graveside service and inurnment for Lorraine will take place on Friday, December 15th at 10:00 in Greenwood Memorial Park.
