Luis Prado's Obituary
Luis Alberto Prado May 11, 1963 – February 15, 2015Luis was born in Nogales, MX, on May 11, 1963. He graduated from Castle Park High School in 1981 where he loved to play soccer and run track and field. He spent many years as a tire specialist throughout San Diego. In 1997, he moved to Nogales, AZ, where he worked as a paint specialist at True Value Hardware and spent many days with his favorite aunt, Lucy, and other extended family throughout Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. He loved watching all types of sports such as football, soccer, the Olympics, but most especially the San Diego Padres. He had a love for jazz music and always went out of his way to fix things for his friends and family. He never came across a piece of equipment that he couldn’t somehow get working again. In 2012, Louie began his battle with congestive heart failure. He had countless hospital stays and various medical setbacks. In October 2013, doctors gave him 30 days to live so he came home to be with family. We know the comfort of home and the time he spent with his little buddies, nephews Taavi, Alexander, and Maxwell, were a big reason we had him for an additional 14 months. Louie loved to laugh and was happiest when he was the loudest voice in the room-regardless of the location. While his rambunctious voice has been silenced, the laughter and memories will keep him alive in our hearts for years to come. Luis is survived by parents Luis and Alicia Monge, Siblings Jaime, Monica (Robert) Cox, Ana (Cesar) Fernandez, Esteban (Geneva) Monge, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Until we meet again, brother.BYE LOUIEDon’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, To love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free.
