Luz Elena Velasco Lozano's Obituary
Luz Elena Velasco Lozano, known lovingly as Lucy, passed away at the
age of 63. Born on December 29, 1962, in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico.
She was the daughter of Mario Joaquin Velasco and Yolanda Lozano. Lucy
was the second eldest of eight siblings and spent her school years in
Tijuana, where she earned her degree in Commercial Secretary on
June 30, 1982. Although she never married, she became a devoted
mother to Jessika Carrillo on April 17, 1990, at the age of 27.
Lucy dedicated her career to the retail industry and embraced life’s
simple joys, such as chatting with friends and family, dancing,
partying, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. At 49, she
became a grandmother to her first grandchild, Yessika Valentina
Sanchez-Carrillo, and at 50, welcomed her second grandchild, Amy
Isabella Sanchez-Carrillo.
Lucy was cherished as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and
grandmother. Many sought her company for her honesty and the
way she shared her thoughts openly. Lucy was one of the kindest
people you’ll ever meet, she opened her heart to many over the years
and and will be sorely missed
