It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Manny, a cherished part of our family since 2017.
Even with his disabilities, Manny was a fighter. He loved life, he woke up every morning looking forward to his caregivers voice to ring in the activity of the day. He embraced each day with joy and enthusiasm. He found happiness in the simple things—listening to music, playing the drums, and anything that made loud noises. His wonderful laugh was contagious, and his playful spirit brightened the days of his caregivers, creating countless cherished memories. He especially enjoyed playing tricks on his caregivers. Even though he couldn’t see Manny would often take off his shoes and throw them just to hear where it would land. He had the precision of a marksman when he know his caregivers where nearby. Playing the tambourine, maracas, bongos, and dropping them on the floor to hear the crash was the funniest sound to Manny and he would let out the most infectious laugh that would fill the room.
It was a privilege to care for Manny and share so many meaningful moments with him. He touched the hearts of everyone who knew him, and his absence leaves a deep void. We will miss him dearly, but we are forever grateful for the joy, laughter, and love he brought into our lives.
We take comfort in knowing that Manny is now in heaven, reunited with his beloved mother and father, who loved him so deeply. They were Manny’s biggest advocates and his greatest cheerleaders, they only wanted the best possible opportunities for their precious son and they were able to see Manny thrive in a home created for him in the serene neighborhood of Poway, CA. We pray that he is surrounded by perfect peace, endless joy, and the love of our Heavenly Father.
Manny will always be remembered with great affection and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
