Marcelino Buhain Nazareno's Obituary
Marcelino “Naz” Buhain Nazareno, 96, was welcomed home into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Born in Rosario in the province of Cavite, Philippines, Marcelino was one of nine children born to Pedro and Natividad Nazareno. He is survived by his wife Lily Fontanilla, daughter Evelyn, granddaughter Sarah, five remaining siblings Leonardo, Marcelo, Rodelio, Angustia, and Hernando, and many other loving family members. He was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in San Diego, CA where he called home until his passing.
Marcelino served his country proudly as a ship’s serviceman in the United States Navy and then worked for General Dynamics until his retirement. He enjoyed working on projects at home, growing fruit trees in the backyard, singing along to karaoke and staying active by exercising. He loved all dogs, especially Skipper, Admiral and his beloved collie Tiger.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, April 24, 10:00 AM at Greenwood Memorial and Mortuary, 4300 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92113. Reception for family and friends will follow from 12 PM - 3 PM at Greenwood Memorial.
