Marco A Cornejo's Obituary
Remembering Our Beloved MarcoOur beloved Marco came into the world on September 1st, 1999. For nineteen years he brought joy and love to his entire family, but most of all his adoring parents Diana and Bernardo, and loving brother, Oscar.Marco was an exceptional student who challenged himself with many AP classes. He was loved by his teachers and had many friends, but his most cherished academic year was when he and his brother, Oscar, attended school together. After graduating from Montgomery High School, Marco started college at San Diego State University. College came easy for Marco, but he found his true calling in technology. He quickly found his niche at the Otay Ranch Best Buy Geek Squad. Marco was a stellar employee who showed incredible skill and talent. His co-workers and boss speak fondly of him.Like many teenagers, Marco loved food, but he was at another level. He was a self-proclaimed “foodie” loved trying new restaurants and experiencing exotic foods. He also had a passion for gaming, Star Wars, Marvel movies and music. His favorite movie was Clone Wars and couldn’t get enough of the character Jango Fett. In fact, he loved all things comic so much that he attended Comi-Con annually. The trio (Marco, Oscar and Bernardo) made attending Comic-Con a family tradition spending countless hours in line for panels, Comi-Con exclusives and soaking in the sites. As much as Marco loved his hobbies, there is nothing that he loved more than his family. His family was his foundation and he invested most of his time with them. Marco is most fondly remembered for his concern for others. He was Diana’s “left hand” around the house and always helped her when she needed it. He always watched out for Bernardo as well. The sound of Marco exclaiming “Apá!” when he showed concern, will forever be carried in his father’s heart.Marco will continue to stay with us all through our many memories. His sweet soul and kind spirit will never be forgotten. We will see him everywhere; Chick fil’A, Comi-Con collectibles, Boba, Best Buy, Campechana fries from Tacos el “G”. We imagine Marco riding in his coveted Subaru, as he sails into the heavens. God Bless our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
