Margaret Elizabeth Drane's Obituary
Margaret Elizabeth Drane was born on November 20th, 1924 to Samuel Charles and Elphleta Christine Hancox, in Denton, Texas, the second of 5 children. At a young age the family moved to San Diego, where she attended school and graduated from San Diego High School. Soon after graduation she was married to LaZetta LiDrazzah Sr. After a long marriage and 6 children, she became widowed. She was a loyal worker for the U.S. government on North Island Naval Air Station and retired from her position as a data processor in 1982.She was one of the original members of the Beacon Light SDA Church and became an active member when they built the 31st St SDA Church under the pastorate of Dennis T. Black in San Diego, Ca. After serving in several church positions, she became a member of the Oak Park SDA Church, which later became New Hope SDA Church in San Diego, Ca. She loved her church and served and worshiped faithfully until she fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Thursday morning December 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Lee Hancox, Samual Charles Hancox II, and Archie James Kirk.In 1994 she met and married Mr. George Willie Drane who had moved to San Diego from New Mexico. She remained a loving, faithful wife until her death. She is survived by her husband, George, and her children, LaZetta LiDrazzah, Jr. of Portland, Maine, Loretta E. Patrick of San Diego, Ca., Alzetta Li Drazzah of San Diego, Ca., Donald LiDrazzah, (wife Maria), of Vancouver, Wa., Ronald LiDrazzah, (wife Sharon) of Chula Vista, Earnest LiDrazzah, (wife TerriJo) of San Diego, her sister, Juanita Bell (husband Doyle) of San Diego, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends that loved her and will remember her sweet, kind and gentle spirit. We look forward to seeing her again if we stay faithful to the Lord that she loved and served.
