Margaret Marion Tatum's Obituary
Margaret “Peggy” Tatum died in her sleep at home in the early morning of September 19, 2019, aged 90 years and 9 months. She had been in slow decline for many years following a serious hospitalizing illness in 2008. Peggy was born and raised in New York City, and was married to Bob Tatum for 67 years until his death in 2012. His career in the Marine Corps kept her moving around the country with their growing family until they finally landed in San Diego in 1962. In 1967 they bought a home in Linda Vista, where she was actively involved in the Holy Family Catholic parish until her illness in 2008. Mom always wanted a home full of family. She loved music and she loved the sound of her family’s voices, especially when they were all together in the big family room while she was cooking one of her thousands of great meals. She had six children, Patt, Bob, Mike, Kathie, John and Tom, 15 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 step-greatgrandson. We all loved her so very much.
